BISHOP is a rock'n'roll band looking to carve a new road through the muddied waters of the music industry.....and taking no prisoners in the process!
Formed in the winter of 1999, these "three brothers from the same mother" immediately dove headfirst into the scene, gigging as much as possible, while completing their debut release, "Centipede" in the fall of 2001.
Following small success after their release, and picking up a lot of "road knowledge", the boys finally found their place in the music world. "We played a lot of gigs, got our taste of what the industry is about, and found ourselves in the process," explains Rocky. "Looking back, I can definitely see a change, a maturity, and a musical awakening that was always in the three of us, but never surfaced."
BISHOP simply believes in delivering solid rock music and a great live show. "There is something to be said about that these days....when was the last time you've seen a band that hasn't complained about how horrible their life is, or how sad they are," says Rocky. "We want people to turn up the stereo, or come to our show and rock out to the music - that's it".
While BISHOP's musical foundation is rooted in rock, the boys approached the songwriting process for its newest release "Rock On", with open ears, and open minds. "When we began writing songs for the album, we were at our wits end with a lot of the music that was out there. We listen to a lot of different styles of music - the three of us - but we all agreed that whatever we do, it had to rock," states Vinny.
BISHOP has found its focus - and has not turned away since. Releasing their album "Rock On" in February of 2005, the boys plan to bring its style of rock to the masses and continue to stake their claim in the world of rock music.
